How long will it take to groom my dog?
Grooming can take anywhere between 2-6 hours depending on desired services, type of dog, condition of the coat, the overall workload in the salon, day of the week, and the overall behavior of your dog or cat.
Why does it take so long to groom my dog?
Grooming takes 2-6 hours because we groom multiple dogs at any given time. This allows your dog a break between each step to relax and prevent a stress reaction. The grooming salon is meant to be a positive environment, as your dog will spend a lot of time here in their lifetime. Giving breaks helps us to keep this a positive place.
Rushing can also be unsafe for both the pet and groomer. We practice safety first rather than rushing and risk injury to your dog. Our focus is to provide a gentle grooming experience for your dog that will lead to your dog leaving our facility looking gorgeous!
Can I pay extra to have my dog done faster?
We do offer express appointments. With this service, we will groom your dog all the way through. This could take anywhere between 45 minutes and 2 hours.
Can I wait while my dog is being groomed?
More often than not, animals tend to do much better with grooming when they cannot see their owner. When they can, they often focus all their attention on getting to their owner, instead of on the groomer. This can lead to unsafe situations and a longer grooming time. We suggest you do not stay in the salon while your dog is being worked on, in order to minimize the potential risk associated with these unsafe situations. This is in the best interest of your pet and the groomer working on your pet.
When can my puppy have their first haircut?
We recommend you start grooming your pup as early as possible. This is usually between 8-12 weeks and greatly helps your dog in getting used to the grooming process and environment.
I have an aggressive dog, can you groom it?
We value the safety of your pet and our groomers above all else. Sometimes it is not in the best interest of the pet or the groomer to groom an aggressive dog. This can put the groomer at risk of being bitten and the dog at risk of accidental injury by grooming equipment.
Can I bring my own shampoo?
Shampoos are chosen by our professional groomers and are catered to each individual dog and their specific needs, and Definitely! Just give the shampoo to the groomer at check-in.
